(This is 5 weeks in with a custom built charcoal filter and air fresheners) I hadnt had trouble with the smell at all until about 3 days later. Well 3-5 days later my nugs are smelling insanely strong. ![]() You can use it as is (until it runs out of nutes), or add either "organics" or "chemical" nutrients to it. Alright so I just got a small (4oz bottle) of Neptunes Harvest Fish & Seaweed Fertilizer, I put 1 teaspoon in with 1 gallon of water. Lots of the info in the organics form IS crap but there are people there who know their stuff follow the LC recipe with blood and bone, it works great. Neptunes Harvest Organic Fish/Seaweed Blend Fertilizer gives you the best of both products with a perfect blend of fish hydrolysate and seaweed ensuring a. Also the indoor soil forum has a great soil guide done up with lots of recipes. I don't know why you don't read a lot of the organics soils for recipes. The caveat is you are supposed to aerate ej, which if you like extra work and waiting 18 to 24 hours before you can apply nutes, ok. I would use earth juice, which is also fish based, but didn't ever have molding problems with runnoff. I do not like to leave any standing runoff water in trays with fish nutrients, which makes it hard to know "did I fully water?" A perfect environment in a room will allow for the little runnoff you have to evaporate, but its an annoyance to me that I often forget about, and then I have dead plants and I'm like, how did I forget about THAT? The runoff from fish nutes tend to mold easily, and not a good mold either, it will kill your plants. Epsoma kelp and maxicrop kelp 1-0-2 and 1-0-4 are great, can be used in a tea, top dressed, mixed with water like a liquid nutrient and dissolved and applied that way (maxi is MUCH better for that and dissolves more easily), basically its versatile. I can never find NH crab to try it for the calcium it has, oh well. 2 were blue dream, one blue cookies and another indica i cant recall. I've seen the alaska fish 0-10-10 for flowering but haven't tried it. Worked amazing for me Used 0-0-1 at veg the phased in 2-4-2 and bsck to 001 before flush. Such nutrients will be used up quickly within potted plants, and you will notice deficiencies in a couple months without such additions or you can continually re-pot up until the pots are so big you are fucked lol. For veg I would recommend alaska fish 5-1-1 with NH 0-0-1 kelp, but you will need a cal-mag supplement also, and probably additional micronutrients. ![]() ![]() NH and other fish fertilizers are very good. Consider micronutrients, take earth juice does that green colored liquid look anything organic? No it is mostly EDTA metals that will be available right away for plant absorption. Organics is mostly hype I have yet to see actual evidence of benefits concerning "chemical" vs "organic" nutrient programs most people do not realize anyway that when they are using "organic" nutrients, they are often using "chemicals" to feed their plants.
